What is a Federally Qualified Health Center?

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Fish River Rural Health provides quality comprehensive care at an affordable rate to all community members. Our commitment to accessible healthcare has driven us to provide same day access to patients who need to see a healthcare provider at short notice. In addition, our comprehensive care model allows our patients to have their medical, dental, vision and behavioral health history in the same health record. This allows our providers to gain valuable insight in the overall health of their patients and provide the highest level of care.

Our sliding fee discount program reduces fees according to family size and income, in accordance to Federal Poverty Guidelines. This is made possible through funding from the Bureau of Primary Health Care.

To inquire or apply for FRRH's Sliding Fee Discount Program, please contact Rita Haskins, Outreach & Enrollment Coordinator at (207) 316-6446 or rhaskins@frrh.org.

Fish River Rural Health (FRRH) is a private, nonprofit organization, which has been providing health care since 1990. We believe that access to health care should be a right, not a privilege. Our interprofessional team works closely together with a patient-centered focus to provide individualized care to every St. John Valley resident. In addition to our high-quality licensed professionals, our compassionate support staff dedicate themselves to providing health care services with dignity and respect, especially to those with limited resources.
