 Eagle Lake - Annual Family Health Fair

Eagle Lake - Fish River Rural Health (FRRH) is once again gearing up for the 22nd Annual Family Health Fair.  The event will take place Saturday, August 6^th; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Eagle Lake Health Center. 

This year the health fair event will offer a variety of free services, such as free cholesterol and blood pressure screenings, height and weight measurements, and health related informational booths.  Other attractions will include raffles, free bicycle helmets for children 12 years and younger (while supplies last), face painting, teddy bear picnic, a tour of our local fire truck and ambulance, and so much more.  In addition, there will be several guest stars in attendance, such as Sparky the Fire Dog and the Maine Cooperative Extension’s Fruit and Vegetable Characters. 

All Valley residents are invited to join the FRRH staff for this free, fun and informative day.

Breast Cancer Support Group “The Journey”

Fort Kent - Fish River Rural Health facilitates the areas Breast Breast Cancer Support Group called "The Journey".  Most meetings are held at Northern Maine Medical Center in the Board Room.  The meetings are free and open to newly diagnosed or breast cancer survivors, family and friends.
