**Fish River Rural Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and a National Health Service Corp (NHSC) approved-site. NHSC-approved sites are health care facilities that provide outpatient, ambulatory, primary health services in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs), which are communities with limited access to care. The NHSC is a Federal government program that offers financial and other support to Corps Members.


OPTICAL ASSISTANT

Fish River Rural Health (FRRH) is accepting applications for an Optical Assistant at the Madawaska Community Health Center - Optometry Clinic, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm weekdays. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, self-starter, organized, and detailed-oriented with the ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced optometry practice. The successful candidate will join an exceptional team of compassionate professionals within this growing practice. The selected candidate will assist patients in frame and lens selection, obtain optical measurements, prepare necessary prescription orders, perform minor frame repairs and adjustments, instruct patients in wearing and caring for contact lenses, obtain price quotes for eyewear products, maintain all aspects of optical dispensary, document in an Electronic Health Record [EHR] system, and assist with clerical duties and patient clinical setup. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required, with 1- or 2- years training program or experience in the field of optometry or optical knowledge, preferred. One year experience in retail, sales or customer service, preferred. Computer skills and knowledge required. Ability to speak French helpful, but not required.


REFERRAL SPECIALIST/MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Fish River Rural Health (FRRH) is accepting applications for a full-time Referral Specialist/Medical Receptionist at its Eagle Lake & Fort Kent Health Centers [primary work location will be Eagle Lake]. This position is responsible in assisting FRRH's providers, clinical team and care managers by appropriately barcoding, entering data in the electronic health records; and completing the referral/tracking process for FRRH's patient population who require further treatment/follow up at other service sites. In addition, this position is responsible for performing patient scheduling, collections, daily batching, and tracking and reporting tasks. Individual must possess strong face-to-face and telephone customer service skills, as well as a proven ability to effectively multi-task. Experience in a fast-paced provider's office and electronic health records (EHR) system preferred. Experience with data and exchange registries, insurance portals, E-referral tracking Excel logs, etc. preferred. Ability to speak French helpful, but not required. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Health care background preferred. Ability to travel between sites required. Competitive benefits available.

DENTAL RECEPTIONIST/COLLECTIONS TECHNICIAN

Fish River Rural Health (FRRH) is accepting applications for a Dental Receptionist/Collections Technician at the Bolduc Avenue Health Center (ability to travel for coverage to Eagle Lake and Madawaska clinics a must). This is a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday work week (32-40 hours). This position is responsible for performing all receptionist duties including scheduling of patients, excellent telephone communications, computerized patient account entries, billing, monthly reports and collection functions. Experience with an Electronic Dental Record system is beneficial as well as knowledge of Excel, but not mandatory. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED with experience in collections or dental office duties. Equivalent experience considered. Individual must have great computer and communication skills.
